David Guss

Mr. Guss served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Investment Placement Group until June 2009 and now serves as the firm’s Honorary Chairman. Founded in 1983, IPG manages about $2.5 billion in assets for individuals and corporations across domestic and emerging markets and is a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers.
In addition to his work in finance, Mr. Guss is actively involved in the arts and community organizations. He previously served on the Board of Trustees of the San Diego Museum of Art and is currently the Trustee and Treasurer of InSite, a nonprofit contemporary art organization. He has also served on the Advisory Board of First National Bank in San Diego and the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Research Center.
Mr. Guss earned his B.A. in Economics from San Diego State University and the Executive Management Program at Northwestern University.
