BAMO Leads Redesign for Galleria Park Hotel
San Francisco-based interior design firm BAMO will spearhead the latest renovations of the Galleria Park Hotel. Located in the San Francisco’s Financial District, the Joie de Vivre property from Two Roads Hospitality will feature a redesign inspired by the 1911 landmark structure’s Art Deco bones unveiled in two phases later this month and in early 2018.
All 177 guestrooms and eight suites will reveal a new look later this month with custom furnishings, a neutral-toned palette, and eclectic accents for a sophisticated and glamorous look. Highlights include small-scale irregular dot wallpaper, painterly expressionist carpeting in warm tones, marble-topped desks, warm wood venetian blinds, and splattered antiqued mirrored surfaces.
High ceilings and abundant sun exposure will characterize the interior, which will also be clad in custom carpeting that evokes an artistic palette of lush blue and gray colors. Geometric wallpaper will reference key city landmarks in tones of textured oatmeal and light oyster gray.
Upgrades to the entrance, lobby, and mezzanine will arrive in early 2018. Marble tiling will span the floors to further polish the residential-style design, accented with task lighting and patinaed carpeting in charcoal and brandy. Historic photography will adorn the walls, while a mural on the upper wall will depict the city in modern floral wallpaper and lead to the stairway, central fireplace, brass lighting, and bar carts.
A backbar and a mezzanine overlooking the lobby will be installed during the redesign. Large-scale photography will punctuate the back wall of the mezzanine, which will also include access to the lobby restaurant and bar Gaspar Brasserie. A closeted backbar will open to reveal a crystalline bar.
